Brief Description:  Rudder

Ok...I riveted the rudder skin to the rudder skeleton. Rivet R-801PP to R-704 / R-710 / R-716. The riveting has gotten easier with every rivet that I buck.

Next came the part that I have read a lot about on VAF.......rolling the leading edge of the rudder!!! This is somewhat of a challenge! The rolling involves a pipe that you tape onto the rudder skin. Then you begin to roll the pipe and bend the skin in order to get a nice radius. This is done to both sides of the skin. Next you bring the edges together and use blind rivets to join the halves. It definately took some "fudging" and massaging to get it to be right......as well as a bit of time! I am happy with the way it came out.
