Brief Description:  Prime and Prep

Today I completed some final dimpling on the of the skins and rudder skeleton. Then I got the skins ready to prime. As I went to get the wash primer and activator from storage, I found that the activator had leaked out of the gallon jug.....so no priming could take place with the spray gun. I had two cans of Sherwin Williams Etching primer for small parts and decided to use what I had for what I had to prime parts rather than buy another jug of activator.....I have to keep this project moving!!! So I will buy some rattle cans and finish the priming process. All I have to prime is the empennage because the QB portion has been primed at the factory. So "a rattlin we will go"!

It was pretty cool outside to I set the operation up in the garage. I have a Reddy heater that runs off a bbq grill gas tank and got the garage nice and toasty warm. Then I had to wash the parts so I put the parts through the RV DAY SPA. First it started with a nice warm whirlpool bath, followed by a nice hot shower, and to finish it off a nice coat of Sherwin williams 988 primer......beautiful!

Unfortunately I had more time at the to build than primer to paint. So I did a couple more things and resigned to the living room to watch the New England Patriots lose the semi-finals.
