Brief Description:  Cut top cowling inlets

Since both lower cowl inlets had to be trimmed in order to have the snorkle filter in the left inlet. I marked the bottom cowl inlet on the top cowl where to cut them.

It is always a problem to make sure that a line gets straight on an irregular surface like an inlet. You can use tape and fiddle with it....or a piece of stiff cardboard sometimes or something similar. I have some pieces of 1/4 inch bandsaw blades that I keep in my tool box. The blades will bend and conform to irregular shapes and keep a straight line due to the stiffness.

I took the blade and laid it along the inlet to match it to the marks on each side of the inlets and used a marker to mark the cut line which worked fantastic. I got the lines marked and cut the inlets. I sanded the inlets to get everything straight......complete!
