Brief Description:  Cut and Fit Top Cowl

I leveled the fuselage in the last session which requires weight on the tail spring to keep the airplane from nosing over. I was using a 5 gallon bucket but wasn't comfortable with only having that so I went to the airport to get my home made cement block tail weight (which weighs about 125 pounds) and put it in place of the bucket

That done I got the saw horses out and set up to cut the top cowling. I made the initial cut leaving extra for sanding and fine adjustment. After a number of iterations involving removing and putting on the cowl I got it to the place where if fell into place. I still have to trim it more as there is no gap at all really so I have to get it to the place where there is room for paint buildup to fit also.

I set up the laser level just to see how the cut lines would be and it looks like it will work beautifully!
