I did some more work on the left wing tip rib mainly putting it in the wing and checking for the fit and marking the trailing edge of the rib to replicate the position when I drill the holes. I was having some binding in the upper hinge and I took a #40 long drill and ran it through the loops prior to the troubled eyelet and into the goofed up one which happened while riveting with the squeezer. That took care of the problem.
I decided to remove the stick grip in order to remove the powder coating and get the gap in the grip closed. It is amazing how thick powder coating is. The stick measured almost 1.008 over the powder coating and when I sanded it off it measured 1.000. It took some time to get it off but the gap closed to almost nothing....a big improvement.
I completed and drilled the AMP plug bracket I was making. I had planned to rivet it into place but realized that the bin I have under the right cubby area may not fit. I clekoed the bracket in place and sure enough the bin will not go in. So I changed plans and used two #6 nutplates and will use screws to hold it in place so it can be removed. I painted it and set it in the shop to dry.
