When I mounted the TCW Standby Battery I knew it really would not be practical to actually put the screws and nuts in the crossover support but I figured I would design a better way to hold and support that end later in the build. Well it is later in the build and time to address the issue.
After contemplating several designs and ways to "skin the cat" I decided to make a couple buttons that would capture the "to be slotted" holes and capture the back side of the battery, then hold it in place with the front screws that are far more accessible.
So I sketched up the buttons I needed to make and got them mostly made out of some aluminum round stock....just a little more work. The soon to be slotted flange on the TCW battery will slip on the bosses that have just enough clearance to capture the slots with a slip fit.....should work well...we will see!
