Brief Description:  Right Console Switching Panel #2

Continued working on the right console switching panel. I decided to tackle the three indicator lights on the panel. I tossed it back and forth about just soldering them in place which would mean having to cut the wires and redo them to remove the panel in the future. I decided to make pigtails on the wires in order to remove the panel if needed or desired. The lights go in through the front of the panel so there is no way to get them out after soldering. All the other switches can be removed by removing the switch hardware.

So I pulled out the soldering supplies and grabbed some scraps of black and white 22 AWG wire and set up to solder pigtails. I am going to use knife connectors to attach them to their respective wires for the circuits.

I hadn't soldered in a while so my skills were a little rusty and I had trouble getting the process down at first. Finally I turned down the soldering iron about 25 degrees and changed the process and ended up getting beautiful solder connections on all the terminals and put shrink wrap around the wires and terminals.

Did an ops check with my portable power supply......ops check good!
