Brief Description:  Panel Switch Wires #2

Worked more on switch wiring today. The three strobe wires are using the sheild to be the ground so I used solder sleeves and inserted a 20AWG wire in each to go to ground block. Solder sleeves really work well for their purpose....and this is an excellent example on using them.

On the strobes one wire goes to the Nav light, another to the Strobe light, and the final wire is a Sync wire which syncs the strobes to flash all together if you connect them together. I like strobes synched sometimes and other times I don't. So to be able to pick my pleasure I decided to put in a 2-3 toggle switch that I can select to sync the strobes or unsync them.

Next I started prepping the Wing and the Tip landing light wires for getting the wires ready to hook up to switches. The Tip landing lights also have the ability to be synched during wig-wag operation but I decided not to hook them up at all. After speaking with an engineer at Aeroleds by hooking them up they will be always in sync mode during wig-wag and I prefer to have them flashing separately in wig-wag mode.....and see no purpose for using a switch on having the option.

I had to pull more slack for the wires in the cockpit so I had to loosen and pull more wire from the wing bundles.
