Brief Description:  More Lettering for panels - Jims stick

I removed the left eyebrow panel after figuring out where to mark the location for the Alternate Static switch. This allows a source for static pressure to enter the system for the Attitude Heading Reference System(AHRS) computer in the event that the line from the static ports gets clogged for any reason.

With the modern age of "glass cockpits" made up of electronic displays as opposed to analog instruments there is an additional need for this switch. With analog gauges an owner may or may not put a small valve in or under the panel that can be opened for a failed static system. If they didn't have a valve they would simply break the glass on an instrument....usually the Verticle Speed Indicator to allow static air to enter the system through the broken glass and avert a problem especially flying in "instrument conditions". Well in most of todays panels there is no instrument glass to break.....if you break a screen it won't do anything to help...and put you in a further bind!

So I located and installed the switch and worked a bit on lettering.

I decided to tackle my buddy Jim's modification of his PIC control stick for installing the Infinity stick grip. I cant the stick about 19 degrees and drill the required holes and slots as well as remove the powder coat and make a pass through hole for the wire cable.

The project time in this log was only for the work on the switch....stick not included.
