Brief Description: Misc electrical / GIB control stick
I double checked the wiring for the flap actuator and AOA microswitch and decided that since the floor will be riveted I put some extra protection on potential areas that the wiring could get chaffed.
Next I installed the rear stick mount bracket. I want to get the wiring for the rear PTT completed. I got the Ray Allen stick grip from the shelf and began fitting it. The instructions call for a set screw to be used to holding the grip in place. That didn't make sense to me so I decided to use three screws to hold the grip in place. I have some short 4-40 screws both 3/16 and 1/4 inch in length.
I measured and marked the three screw locations 120 degrees apart and drilled and tapped for the 4-40 screws. The 3/16 length screws worked perfectly. I also have a couple nylon parts that I have made that will allow me to remove the stick easily and not have a connector to worry about. the pins will come out automatically. Hopefully it will work well!
