Heading back down today I continued working on the canopy handle to get it ready to weld and send to Rick for powder coating. I cut the handle with my dremmel tool and then cut it to the one inch dimention. That will drop the handle lower by 3/4 of an inch....there is no reason to have it stick out so much. Using the mill machine I cleaned off the handle weldment of the old weld and cut the handle to its finished size. Now waiting on welding.....

Next I worked on the flap actuator and sensor wiring. I decided to use D-sub pins for the sensor as thay really work well for these small wires and I simply put them together and heat shrink them in place. No sense in using a big connector on these "signal wires".

I did use a Molex connector for the two wires on the flap motor. I got all the wires tied up so they wouldn't get caught or chaffe/fray during the flap actuator movement. Ops checked good.

My last job was getting the wiring to the for the AOA flap position microswitch wired. It is a ground wire that detects flaps are deployed and feeds that information to the AOA indicator and places the donut in the ON position. Rather than locally grounding the second terminal locally I just ran a ground wire back to the forrest of tabs in the electrical bay.
