Brief Description:  Wiring with Ralph - new homebuilder series

I had the privilidge of Professor Ralph Hoover of local lore in our area and one of those electrical wizards come over for a couple hours to assist me with my dimmer and GIB light in the rear seat.

Unfortunately our time was limited due to my work schedule. We were able to discuss the layout of the items for planning and then Ralph drew up the sketch so we would know where everything would connect to one another. My post lights have red and white lights in them so I will have a 1-3 toggle switch to swap to either color and both will be dimmed by the same rheostat. With Ralph in the shop to help it was a piece of cake and I got to learn a few things and add knowledge in what I consider a weaker part of my abilities when it comes to circuitry. Sure I have wired circuits in my garage, house and simple circuits in the airplane....but these things with capacitors, transisters, and resistors, can give me brain blisters at times. Thanks Ralph!

After getting a plan I started routing the wires while Ralph worked on the D-sub. I also used some JB Weld to secure a wire support on each side for the post light wires. A little more progress made and Ralph will come back for another session to finish up the dimmer and GIB light.
