Brief Description: Remove Voltage Regulators for Upgrade
No pictures. I called B&C Specialty Products to ask about the revision on my voltage regulators. I found out kind of by accident when I downloaded the LR3 Regulator manual and blueprint from the website. I printed them and sent them to my friend Jim since I had them on my computer.
Jim texted me later and asked when the upgrade to the LR3 took place? We both have the LR3C versons of the regulators and the manual and print I emailed him was for the LR3D version. I didn't pick up on that but Jim is the detail man and he did. So I shot an email to B&C on Monday to see if I could find out what changed.
I didn't get a response so on Friday I called. Seems the two changes made were in the circuitry to allow an LED light to be used for the warning light, and changing the overvoltage circuit parameters to keep the field breaker from having false trips (which they said they got complaints from a few customers).
In the conversation Nathan, the company president, said if I would ship the units to them they would upgrade them to the "D" version for FREE. So today I removed the regulators and packaged them up to ship to B&C. That's why I love B&C products....great support!
