Brief Description:  Work Snorkle Insert & Bond Cowl Ducts

With the inset I molded being fully cured, I set about to strip it from the mold. Overall is fit good but I had to start trimming it in order to get the plug to fit in place. After quite a bit of fussing and fitting it was ready to be bonded into the snorkle. I mixed a small batch of flox and bonded the insert in place used some fiberglass pieces to lay over the flox. I used a brush to work the fglass in place and then set the snorkle aside to cure.

Later that night I went into the shop and removed the upper cowl that Rob and I completed earlier that day and bonded the cowl inlet ducts into the cowl using Cab-o-sil that I bought on Rick's recommendation. The process was pretty simple and did not take real long. After getting all the surfaces bonded and cleaned up nice I placed them back on the aircraft to get them to cure in place during the night.

Another good day of progress.

Broke 3500 work hours on the project.....almost embarrassing.....
