I worked on sanding and dressing up the fiberglass work on the snorkle. The air filter fits in great now without any deformation of the filter due to squeezing in the corners. The nylon block I made really did the trick.
I returned to working on the ramps. I put the bottom cowling on and off what seemed like a million times to keep measuring....cutting and re-measuring and re-cutting as well as bending and unbending to get the ramps to match the cowling opening. On the left ramp I marked the line where I needed to bend the ramp on the forward edge.
Lastly I ended the session by getting the left ramp set up in the mill to cut the opening for the filter/snorkle attachment.
