Went out after work....been late days due to being in a virtual course till 5pm every day.....it's been death by power point!!!
When I got into the shop I continued on the bracket. I put more clearance in the left attachment point and took some more stock off the right side (looking at the photo).
The process of getting the bracket done involved putting the bracket on and off several times. Once I had the attachment tabs fit to the clear all the casting on the unmachined portion of the bolt bosses, I took the cube and adjusted it to fit where it needed to and then marked the bracket. I then removed material from the front of the bracket.
With that done I once again installed the bracket and made sure I had the hole location placed in the right location. I removed it again and located the position and drilled the hole. I installed the bracket one more time and checked out the fit by bolting everything together and it worked great!
The final step was to clean and paint the bracket.
On another note.....I have passed the 3200 hour mark......slowest quick build in history of Vans probably!
