Brief Description:  Aeroled Landing Lights #6 & RV10 Covers

Continued sanding on the right landing light. By the end of this session I am calling the right landing light final fitting completed.

One of the other projects I am working on is a set of RV-10 door hinge covers that my friend Rick asked me to fabricate in the shop. So I began working on those as well as my build and split off some time to tackle both in order to keep both projects going.

Having done machining for many years and owning two small shops, you go through the mental process of how you are going to fabricate the parts. I remember when I was going to Blackstone Valley Vocational High School and started in the machine shop program. We would be given various projects to fabricate....hammers, v-blocks, and assorted other projects. The first thing the shop teacher would do with us is review the blueprint and then we would discuss the steps for fabricating the part. It taught me to really learn processes of completing things and visualizing how you are going to machine it....holding the piece, which operations come first....etc etc. It really helped frame both process and troubleshooting skills.

Anyway.....after getting my plan to fab the covers I started the project.
