Now that the lights were rough cut I began to bring them to the "secondary finish" stage. This is where you sand the opening where you have about 1/4 inch on the inside of the light sticking through the opening and about 2 inches from the face of the light to the revealed portion sticking out of the wingtip.
It didn't take it that long from rough to secondary stage. I am working on some other things this week so I am trying to at least get a little build time in each night.
