Brief Description:  LEMO Cutouts

With the LEMO hole cutout pattern made, today I decided to actually cut the holes in the front and back locations.

The diameter of the threaded socket is about .55 but it has flats on two sides for anti-rotation of the socket while being installed or removed. It isn't really difficult per se.....drill a 1/2 inch hole then use the pattern to mark the rest of the material needs to be removed. The "pain" part is getting the work done in the locations. I mean...it wasn't horrible but a bit of twisting and contorting was needed to get the finishing work done and fit. The pilots LEMO was more difficult.

EIther way those are both in and ready.....now for the non-powered jacks....which should be easier because they are just holes to drill....no special profiles! Just got to decide where to put them.

With the grandchildren in town I am making a little project with them. It's all cut out and will prime and paint with my can of red spray paint.....then Kathryn will use the paint pens to write on it.
