Just about done with the GPS mount. WIth the base doubler dry I installed the base with the doubler on the airplane. I deceded to use all screws insteading of riveting the parts.
I decided to remove and remake the rear outboard foot mount....the new one was much better and was worth the time to do so! With the new foot on I drilled the feet to the fuselage.
I then worked on a doubler. Rather than two seperate doublers I made one single doubler that would be used to catch both locations.
I will install the nutplates and then it will be time to drill the connector hole followed by priming and painting the remaining parts.....almost done.
My friend Jim said in his log....doing this stuff the first time takes so much longer because you are designing of developing a plan.....when you do it next time you already know what works and it saves a lot of time......so very true!
