I wanted to free up room in the basement shop and also wanted to have room to work on the wings because I have to remove the old Duckworks HID bulbs with the ballast and install the Aeroled landing lights to replace them. Less current draw and less complex install. I also need to finish up the wingtips and install the hinge pins that will hold on the wingtips to the airplane. So a bit of work to do there.
I started by taking the airgun to blow off the 8 years of dust that has slowly accumulated. I used some wet cloths and a vacuum to clean up the wings and the cavities well. The wings have gotten a cleaning and I covered them with a tarp in order to keep them as clean as possible.
