Brief Description:  Subpanel and Angle Panel Switch layout

I removed my ELT remote switch and then began to locate the two switches and rheostat knob locations with ruler and markers. This always involves locating....moving.....relocating...moving and it is a tweaking process but I finally got everything looking good.

I then moved down to the right console angled panel on my "off plans" custom made consoles. I stole the idea for these consoles from a friend Rick.....they are a little different but the same concept that he used. I am glad (although it costs 140 hours of extra work) because it really gives more real estate for breakers and switches than Vans stock setup.

I had a broad layout on a previous log entry but now things can be measured and marked more precisely. Switches were shifted up, left, right, etc to get what I thought would be a good spacing and layout. I marked the hole sizes and what switches would go where. I am putting a lot of switch guards....nine to be exact....so the mounting holes had to be marked for those.

Everything is marked and ready to be drilled or milled. Should be able to get that done tomorrow. Took a while but the result will be worth it.
