I contunued to work the back side of the right skirt for a while. I decided it was time to remove the plastic I had on the airplane and put wax paper in order to get a better idea of the fit since the plastic was thicker and didn't lay as flat as wax paper.
I had to grind some spots out of the flange radius of the left skirt where the heat blistered the outer layer a bit. I probably got more aggressive than I should of with grinding but I didn't want any issues down the road.
Putting the fairings back on revealed several places where flox or micro would be needed. Perhaps even a little fiberglass strips on the lower part of the skirts.
At this point I have completed getting the fairing flanges that bond to the canopy to sit flush on the canopy without any pulling away. I have ground down the outside of the flange to make the skirt flange look uniform around the canopy so there is not issue with asthetics. I mean it's not perfect but it is really nice.
