Brief Description:  Cutting Skirts

In this session I cut the top and bottom of the skirt lines I marked last session. I use the dremmel tool with a cutoff wheel and it works well as it is more controllable than the larger wheels on the air driven die grinders.
After completing the cuts I used multiple sanding devices to finish the cuts....look good! I re-installed the skirts.

Next I wanted to remove more extra material at the back of the skirts so I set about marking them. While contemplating the best way to get the marks in the right locations I decided to use my shop light in the airplane and turn off the basement lights.....it gave an interesting look and a great method to get the lines marked where I wanted them!

I first double checked that the shadow was casting a true line and now deflected....it was. I then took electrical tape again and marked the cut line followed by the fine sharpie. The method worked excellent! It's amazing how you stumble across these creative methods while building an airplane!
