Brief Description:  Prepping and Sika Bonding #5

I allowed the Sika to cure for about 58 hours before taking off the clamps. I then used the process to do the canopy bow with aktivator, primer, and sika. The process went quite a bit faster since it was easily accessible and a lot shorter run.

After doing that I ran a little cosmetic sika in some areas and called it good. It is by no means perfect but I am happy with it. I removed the tape and put the canopy aside to cure.

I am glad this process is complete and as most things I have learned in the build process, it
doesn't seem as bad after you do it as you feared. I also learned that it takes less time the second time around....trust me I have remade enough parts during this build!!!
Many thanks to Jim Novak and Steve Riffe for their great logs and conversations that really greased the skids for me in getting this portion completed.

Hope this helps if you are doing Sika! Use the Kitlog Contact Builder in the top right corner of the "Site Navigation" box to contact Jim, Steve, or myself if you have any questions on the process.
