Brief Description:  Cutting and Fitting the Canopy Part 10

I placed the canopy on once again and clamped to check the fit. It was getting pretty close. I looked it over real well and began taping and marking for the cuts. Another tip I learned off Jims site is making the line with tape then using a marker to mark over the edge of the tape and remove the tape.....it leaves a nice clean cut line. Plus it is easier to make the line with tape than trying to use a ruler or straight edge.

After marking cutting and sanding the edges again during this session the canopy looks done to me! During the process you can see that the clamping to get the sides and back of the canopy around the frame, the plexi naturally creeps toward the front...which is great. The canopy finds it's "flow" to where it wants to be. The only caveat is that I now have to mark and cut the front of the canopy around the bow to get it even again. You can see how the marks have changed by looking at the reference lines(even though they are a little blurred in the photo).

Canopy almost ready for the next stage.....bonding it with sika....but still work to do before that process begins.
