Brief Description:  Baffles, Oil Line, Cowl Inlet Ducts

I stopped by the airport after my morning post office run to see if the folks at the A3 Maintenance Shop were in. They have a metal shear that I felt would serve well in cutting strips of .032 sheet stock that I need to make up the baffle seal angles for riveting the baffle material on the baffles. They were in and I used their shear and made some nice consistant strips that I will bend, cut, and form them to the contour of the baffles.

With that done I worked on completing the governer oil line where it goes through the front baffle. I have some rubber coated metal grommet seal material and I was able to cut a short piece to fill the gap that I had on the bottom side of the oil line due to the angle of the hose going through the baffle......worked great even though it took a little bit to get it on right.

Finally I realized I cannot finish contouring the left and right side baffles until I get the upper cowling Inlet Ducts put in place and finished up. The ducts serve to create a low pressure in the inlet area that forces the air through the exit which is the high pressure area. Without the ducts engine cooling would suffer. So I got the ducts and began placing them and got them situated by drilling a hole and putting a cleco to get them held in the initial location......they may need some adjusting.
