Brief Description:  Oil Line Hole in RIght Ramp Baffle

Just had a limited shop time today so I decided to tackle the issue with the right ramp baffle and governer oil line hole clearance. The oil line hole was already 1 1/8 inch diameter. There are rivets around the hole that I am trying to keep the minimum edge distance so I am a little limited on being able to open the hole too much larger although I do still have some wiggle room.

I ordered a couple 45 & 90 degree fittings in hope that connecting a single 45 degree fitting would go straight down the hole an resolve the problem immediately. The problem is that the oil fitting on the engine case must be around a 50 degree angle off the verticle axis which caused the 45 degree fitting I attached to the elbow on the engine to enter the hole on an angle towards the engine. I attached an additional 90 degree elbow to the 45 which I turned outboard which would work....but I am really not comfortable with using three fittings to get the job done. The current problem is the hose is hitting the outboard edge of the hole and interferring with the hose just enough to not allow it to connect to the fitting.

I sent out a quick text to Rob and Rick "The Airplane Guys" and Rob suggested since I still had wiggle room for the rivets to open the hole and he noticed I could clock the case fitting just a little and it should work. So I removed the baffle and extended the hole using a smaller radius to enlarge just an area where the line would get additional clearance. Since the hose goes in at an angle I beveled the back side at a 45 degree angle. I then clocked the case fitting and it looks like it will work well. Line was able to screw on and there is clearance around the thick chaffing portion of the hose.....success.
