Brief Description:  Baffle Angle Clips

Worked on getting the forward baffle completed. The forward baffle requires three angle clips to be made with each being different sizes and requiring different geometry to fit correctly.

I started by cutting and trimming the right ramp clip for the side of the forward baffle since there was only one on that side. It required bending the angle because the 90 degree angle on it would not allow it to sit flush against the two sides. A couple of renditions of bending it was perfect. I then marked and drilled the angle and then match drilled it to the ramp and front baffle.

Next I worked on the left ramp and front baffle rear angle clip. This one actually needs one hole matchdrilled throught the left ramp support bracket. So I made the clip and fit it then marked the holes with consideration to the one that will be match drilled in order to get alignment of all the holes.

As I mentioned in the last log, the clip that is supposed to fit on the side angle of the left front baffle was interferring with the filter clamp. I trimmed the clamp to clear the front baffle but there was no way I was going to get the clip to sit there without encroaching the clamp to the point of having to cut it too short. I considered and decided to put it on the inside of the baffle area where I have space to install the clip and drill and rivet the clip. I see no compromise of strength from placing it on the other side of the baffle.....so that issue is resolved!
