Brief Description:  More Baffle Work

Using the lines I made in the last session I trimmed the baffles all around and that allowed the two halves of the cowling to meet. I made a few more trim cuts and felt it was ready for the next step.

I got out the boxes of paper clips and placed them along the upper edges of the baffles as close as possible to each other. After getting them installed I placed the top cowling on and heard the telltale clicking of the paper clips as they fell into place along the baffles.

Now I could measure down from the top of the clips and mark the 3/8 - 1/2 clearance that is needed for the baffle material. I took my scale and marker and began making dots all along the baffle using the paper clips for my reference. After marking all the clips (there are a few spots where interpolation is needed) I reset the paperclips and placed the upper cowling on again.
I then double checked the marks to see if they were consistant......yup they were....now we should be ready for the final cuts!
