Brief Description:  Working Left Baffle Inlet Ramp

After getting some chores done today I got out into the shop. I installed the bottom cowl and began working the left and right ramps again.

I am using the snorkle air intake that goes in the left inlet ramp area and poses some additional considerations. In looking at things I found it is possible that though I have an inch of material still to cut off the inlet ramp....it may be that the ramp may be too short now. I have to cut off some of the fiberglass in the left inlet....perhaps 3/4 inch for the filter for the snorkle to be fit.

I decided to pause on making any decisions on the ramp until I could get Rob who used the snorkle on his RV7 as well and get some insight and strategy from him before working it further.

I did have to make some other adjustments which I did. The clip that holds the #2 baffle to the ramp baffle was pushing the side out leaving a gap of between 1/16 - 1/8 inch. I didn't like how it fit so I made another.....then another clip that finally fit great and held the two baffles together without any gap!

Making slow progress as I wallow through the process of working the baffles and hopefully getting the project out of the shop and into the air!!!
