Brief Description:  Baggage Door Work

Since I wanted to wait until Friday or Saturday to work the edges of the fiberglass cowling so I can work them outside and since it is getting darker far earlier now I decided to move on to something else.

I focused on the baggage door. I took time to mark the edges for getting the gaps between panels that would allow space so opening and closing the door would not interfere with and rub the paint off the edges....the same process I am doing on the fiberglass.

Then I connected the dots and took the files to the door. Draw filing is one of the greatest methods of removing material sans using a power tool. So using a course and fine file I worked the edges until the blue line was barely visible then finished them with sanding.

I then decided to move on to the gas spring bracket while the door was off. I found a piece of 1/16 th aluminum and began to draw the profile for the bracket before calling it a night.
