Brief Description: Work Top Cowling and Baggage Door Install
I did a little work on the top cowling and then removed it. I wanted to install the baggage door in order to be able to get some good marks for cutting the cowl.
After installing the baggage door I checked the fit. The rear lower edge did not sit well and had a small gap that I didn't like. After assessing the situation I decided that I would need to remove some rivets and add shims below the skin to get the door edges matched. Using feeler gauges and doing some cypherin I determined the first shim to be made....it is out of .062 aluminum. A somewhat tedious process but the shim is just about complete. More to come!
