Went back in the shop and got the first part finished to dimensions. The ring will actually locate on the prop flance center diameter that will get it exactly in the middle. The center hole in the first part is for clearance as the boss on the prop hub will locate in the next piece. I cut the .065 deep recess in this part in order to locate the next part in the center of the ring so everything will be concentric. I cut the circular outside diameter on the piece and then put the c'snks for the screws that will hold the center piece to the back flange.
With that done I placed the material in the lathe to begin turning the second part that will give the spacing to the front plate of the spacer. The outside diameter will locate in the back plate and the bore that I will put through the center will locate on the prop flange boss. So the OD is complete to 3.622 (-.002/+.000) dimension. The bore will be next.....but we have the grandchildren and it is time to go in to spend a few minutes before bedtime!
