Brief Description:  Misc Electrical and Avionics Items

Another day in the weekend to work on stuff. I had just gotten into the shop when I received a call from Ralph and he asked if I would like to have some help in the shop today? Absolutely!!!

He arrived in short order and we began to work on mostly electrical stuff. We decided that the best place for the engine block ground was the predrlled hole in the engine case that would be perfect for a grounding point. So it was just a little smaler than a 5/16 hole so we opened the hole up to 5/16 and tapped it out 5/16-18 for the bolt. I tapped it and it was good to go EXCEPT the paint needed to come off in order for it to have s solid grounding point. This sure would have been easier to do before putting the engine into the airplane. I completed drilling and tapping the hole, and used the small tool I made to get a good ground contact for the connector.

I installed the transponder and both comm radio antennas. I used paintable silicone to seal the antennas.
