Brief Description:  EPIC DAY.....Avionics Energized & Engine Hung!!!

Ralph has been a great help during the electrical and avionics portion of this build. He is also a great guy to hang out with while doing the project as we get to joke around and verbally harass one another in the process.....it is a win-win! So when he texted me in the morning and asked if I wanted him to come over to help today I gave a resounding YES....after which I went out to get a little breakfast supplies.

Our goal this session was to work on getting the avionics fired up. We both set out working on things to get us to that point...I set up the power supply and Ralph went about checking out the set-up before we poured the power to it! Finally it came to power up time. We put the juice to everything and the magic of electrons started bringing the boxes alive!!! Can't put everything here to describe everything but we had a couple problems such as the software not being able to load up the revision from the card and the GTN 650 did not come alive. Still working on the revision issue. The GTN 650 ended up being a couple pins that were bent very little but kept them from engaging. We straightened them and reinstalled the unit and it came alive! We are also getting an error loading the software....so working that as well.

So it wasn't on the list but while working with the software Ralph said "Let's hang the engine!" Ahhh....are you seroius? Ok then I am game...so we began to get that task under way! I got the engine mount installed while Ralph worked on getting the propeller governor installed.
