Brief Description:  Attach Engine Mount & Misc items

The engine mounting was the longest process of the day. You would think putting in four big bolts would be a breeze. As a matter of fact if you look at blogs you will find it takes from thirty minutes to a whole day!!! Aircraft engine mounts and isolators are finicky things. Generally the top two mounts go in first....then the bottom two. I bought the Lord mounts for my build which they say are a little more difficult to install. Well...we got done at 10pm both weary....it was quite a task. I can't say enough for the help Ralph was yesterday and throughout this project (along with all the others that have been detrimental to the cause!)

The portion of the day that I worked on things alone was primarily putting on the engine mount and other misc items.

I set up the power for feeding the aircraft busses by putting the "dummy" battery that I got from Chris a Concorde rep at SnF in the battery tray and used the lugs on the battery to connect the cables in the airplane and the harness I made for the power unit. Ralph had an Odyssey battery in his trunk and decided to hook that up as a surge dampener and electrical noise attenuator.....it didn't seem to reduce the noise but we kept it hooked up for dampening.

After that was ready for the light show or "smoke test" whatever you like to term it, I went about getting the hardware and getting the engine mount attached and the bolts torqued with the final step getting the cotter pins installed.

(I used the picture slots for the completed engine mounting pics this log if from 6-12-2022 but would not sequence correctly behind last log so date changed)
