Brief Description: Wheels, Brakes, and Canopy Handle
My next real item to complete is to get the landing gear wheel assemblies on the airplane in order to be able to hang the engine. I got the box out of the storage area and unpacked the items I will need. I am getting the Grove recommended Mobile 28 grease to lube the bearings so I have to wait for that to arrive as it is on order.
I then dug out the parts that attach to the axle area that are used to hold on to the landing gear fairings....they will need to be deburred and prepped for install with the axles.
Finally I decided to remake my canopy handle. I tried to profile the one that I received with the finish kit and it got a little messed up. The handle is repairable but since I had the stock in the shop I decided to just machine a new one. So I programmed the machine and began cutting the new one before ending off for the night.
