Brief Description:  Fuse-Relay Panel Lettering

I didn't have much time to work last night but wanted to get something done. I elected to put the label for the fuse-relay bay cover on the panel. I waited to put it on because I wanted to be certain the lettering could be seen when the console side panel was attached.

I attached the console side panel and with the label full sized with the border it wasn't going to fit in a way that where it could be read from the pilot's sitting position. I decided to cut the lettering out and leave the border box off. I then moved the lettering down towards the bottom of the panel and as forward as possible. From that position it could be read with the console side panels on.

I then went through the process of transfering the lettering to the panel. Because the panel was in place it was a bit of a challenge. I got it in position but unfortunately the parchment paper backing slipped out from behind while I was contorting to get the label in place and the A & F in the word "aircraft" got a little messed up. That is the one requirement with these labels.....you can't allow the lettering to touch prematurely or they will stick and potentially get goofed up. The fortunate thing is that the labels can be removed and replaced......I may repair that in the future but not worried about it now.....will press on!
