Brief Description:  Fuse Block Wiring #1

Before starting to crimp wires I wanted to make sure I had as much protection to the current wire bundles I have going through the Fuse Block Bay as possible. I have various sizes of spiral wrap that worked good for giving an extra coating of protection and took a while to get the wires wrapped.

I then started sorting out wires and prepping to begin to crimp on pins and get them in their positions that I wanted them in the block. My friend Ralph turned me on to this Bussman Fuse block which is EXACTLY what I needed for my application. The one side of the fuse tabs are intregal in the fuse block, but then you use the crimp on connectors and insert them from the back. This is so great since the normal fast-on fuse blocks in the E/AB world all hook to the side of the block which would not work for my design.

Anyway I began to route the power wires and attach the connectors. I had to modify the connectors a bit because they are really make for auto wiring which comparable wire gauges are thicker then the tezfel wire we use in aviation. I am using Molex crimpers....so the connectors need some finessing but they are fastening on securely! I got a number of wires in place.
