Now that a bunch of the panels are marked that I can put them back in the airplane to get switches and wiring connected I want to get components in place so I can get the electrical completed and move the fuselage out to the shop for putting tires and engine in order to move to the next stage of the build.
I grabbed the pitch servo and the hardware and sorted through it to get the right bolts for the install and set the servo in the fuselage. There is a little difference in hardware for RV-8 kits that were built prior to Sept 2006 and after that date. Mine is built prior so the spacer at the rear of the brackets is different as are a couple AN3 bolts.
With that all sorted out I crawled into the fuselage and installed and torqued the servo in place. I am hoping to run the wires this weekend and get to the place where the tail section will be completed and boards removed for good!
I spend the last little bit of time in the shop getting it cleaned and organized.
