Brief Description:  Seat test, selected upholestry, and redied for shi

I was able to get the Gal in Back (GIB) spousal unit test pilotess to come in the basement for doing the seat core testing. I went from the standard 4 inch bottom core to the 3 inch core for front and back seat bottoms. I got the GIB in position and then saddled up in the PIC position. We sat in the seats for some time to be sure they were totally compressed and felt comfortable. It was a little funky with the plastic on but I felt that was a good precaution.

Headroom is important and it was as I expected to be. The headroom is ample to how I wanted it and I sit at a height that seems perfect to me. My thought is that MORE height can be added if a shorter pilot flies the airplane....but if the seats are too high.....you have NO options to lower it.

After being satisfied with the seats in our positions, I then sat in the back seat. I did not want to have the headset hitting the canopy if a taller person was in back. I sat in back and with the headset on I found that sitting in position I had about 2 1/2 inches of clearance between headset and canopy.....that is great!

So with that the seat test crew set out finalizing the choice of leather colors and sundry items and I had the paperwork set in the box with a letter of notes and will ship tomorrow in order to hurry up and wait!
