Started off by sanding off the flox that I placed on the trailing edges. Flox is tough to sand but the Perma Grit blocks do a good job of knocking the flox down. So I worked the tips with the blocks and then turned to a sanding block with finer grit sandpapers. The wing tips trailing edges came out nice....just need a little micro and filler to complete filling some of the small imperfections.
I then riveted nutplates on the wing tip ribs to prep them for installation. With that done I clecoed the ribs in place and made sure the wing tip profiles looked good. I then began to rivet the ribs in place. The rivet countersinks were made a little deeper so I can put a coat of micro over them and cover the rivets.
Next I went to the Aeroled instructions to see where I was in the process of installing the landing lights. I looked for a while and determined where I was in the process. I will be returning to this in the days to come so the wing tips can be totally complete.....but I will make the hinge pin retainer block prior to doing that.
