I was able to shift the glaresheild mock-up panel to see what I liked for the positions. I think I have pretty much decided on the 3" left offset for the AOA display. I clears out the center and gives plenty of view to the left also. It is in the field of view that will allow it to be seen clearly with a small shift of the eyes....no turning of the head.
I haven't decided yet but I may actually angle the display slightly toward the pilot if I put it off to the left side as in photo 3.
