I had a reminder to check the continuity in the stick switches on my shop notepad so I got the meter out and double checked them. My only concern were the cooley hat and the PTT switch since they come out easily when the stick halves are separated. I did that a few sessions ago to sand the powder coat off the stick in order to get the stick halves parting line to close up....which was successful. So I thought later that I needed to double check the continuity and jotted down a note.
When I checked the pins for the PTT switch they were working fine. I then switched to checking the trim up/down and the TOGO portions of the cooley hat positions and sure enough the switch was turned 90 degrees counterclockwise......the pitch trim was acting like a roll trim working from side to side instead of forward and back. So I removed the grip AGAIN and got the switch rotated and the grip back together. I used the meter and determined all the switches were working as needed.
Finally I put power to the FLY LED landing light switch I bought to use for the Duckworks wing landing lights that I bought Aeroled replacement bulbs for and removed the Duckwork HID lights. So in order to use the Recognition (WIG-WAG) feature I just decided to use that switch which has 8 flashing patterns to choose from. The little LED lights on the switch shows the pattern selected. So I can get funky or go standard....but the switch makes it all simple! I will have a separate switch for the Aeroleds landing and taxi lights in the wingtips.
