Brief Description:  Mark Cut lines on wing tips and Rt Tip Rib

Turned my attention to the wing tips today. My first task was to use a straight edge and mark the cut lines on the trailing edge of the wing tips in order to get them aligned with the ailerons. They will be cut in the days ahead after I get some fglass and flox in inside the wing tip to fill in since the cut may break through into the inside area of the tip and then I will have two floppy pieces of fiberglass wingtip to put back together....filling ahead of time is a lot better and easier.

Next I began the process to modify the right wing tip rib in order to fit it around the hinges that are now installed inside the wingtips. It took a little cutting and checking a number of times in order to get it where it needs to be. When I felt like it was where it needed to be I took the wing tip out to the shop an installed it on the wing. Then I inserted the rib to place it exactly where it needed to be and would follow the natural contour of the wingtip and marked the backside of the rib on the wingtip to be able to position it before drilling the rivet holes.. I deburred the tip rib.

When I cut the angle I left enough material on the angle in order to bend the rib for strengthening. Using my little hardwood bending board I formed the bend on the rib angle. I decided to bend it inward so it wouldn't interfere with putting the wingtip hinge pins in the tip.
