Brief Description:  GIB Control Stick PTT

Had just a little time in the shop tonight. Continued to work on the GIB stick wiring. I will only have a Push to Talk (PTT) switch on the stick which enables the GIB to speak on the selected radio frequency.

I had made up the Delron parts some time ago preparing for this segment of the build. I installed the grip and passed the wires through the column and the Delron plug. I got two male Molex pins and crimped them on. I made the plugs with counterbores for the ears of the pins to catch in order to have them protrude from the bottom of the plug. I have some 4-40 screws so I drilled and tapped a hole in the top of the plug and after pulling the wires till the pins seated I used a screw with a hard washer and nylon washer beneath it to hold the wires and pins in place.

I have another mating plug that will have the female pins in the bottom of the stick. The plan is to have no connectors to undo when pulling the stick out of the lower column and stowing it when I want it removed from the back area. A little more work to do....
