Brief Description:  Rivet Right Wing Skin

Finally we got working on the wing riveting. The process is a long one putting in millions (ok a bit of an exaggeration) of rivets into the skin to secure it to the wing ribs. It really helps to have two people do the job as it will complete the job quicker and with Rick giving assistance for a few days I felt the need to jump on getting the wing skin attached.

We began with the process which was working in an "L" pattern to close up the wing. Rick gave me the easy job of running the rivet gun and he contorted during the process to get the bucking bar in position.

During the process another friend Rob came to the house and assisted which increased our RPM (rivets per minute) as he inserted the rivets and worked the clekos......what a great boost.

Many thanks to Rob & Rick for helping "git er dun"!
