Today seemed to be a draggy day in the shop. Part of it was I had to reroute a little bit of wiring through the center section.
Next I decided that the antenna locations needed to be locked down. I spoke with Don from Deltapop where I bought my antennas about the transponder antenna. The antenna he sells is able to be used for ADS-B IN & OUT! It so happens that the GTX-45R that I have is able to do both so I have to only have one antenna....which is fantastic. Anyway in the process of getting things done on the airplane I was doing some researching which takes up time in the work session.
I then designed up and made three doublers out of some .040 stock that I have one for the XPDR antenna and two for the COMM antennas. I drilled the spacing for the antenna mounts and then designed up a rivet pattern to install the doubler.
After that I finished up the session by going back to installing adel clamps on the inboard conduits that run under the floorboard.
