Last session I realized that with the amount of wires going through the area I needed a neat and clean way of bundling and tying the wires. I decided to make a small aluminum plate that I could use the same screws holding the GIB map light circuit board to hold the small plate.
I measured and cut the plate, drilled the mounting holes and made a hole and attached a nylon tie down that I would use to make it all neat. Using some small spiral wrap and lacing I went about tidying up the wiring.
With that complete and the power and ground wires routed out of the bay, I used a piece of safety wire to hold the panel while I completed wireing and installing the autopilot disconnect switch and guard. Next I installed the rheostat for the GIB map light and installed the knob.
I used spiral wrap on the rheostat and autopilot disconnect wires because they are fed up into the bay and it will provide extra protection...even though I felt it would be fine without it better safe than sorry.
The final step was to screw the panel in place. The last thing I need to do is make the lettering and apply it to the panel.
